The footbridge over the Whitchurch road at Rotten Hill. This bridge once gave access between Laverstoke Park on the right and “the racecourse” on the left. It was used by Portal’s shooting parties to cross from the Park in the north to woods on the south side of the B3400. Having become dangerous, with bits of wood falling off, it was demolished in the 1950’s. The remains of the brick supports can still be seen.
