It went from a being a place, children socialised and played, to teaching them to swim properly. The fun aspect is still very important, but learning to swim as young as possible is the main objective, and we can boast there are not many kids in the village starting school that cannot swim. It is not just the Children that have learned to swim, lots of Parents have also learned over the years.
