This was taken at the wheelbarrow race in the late 1970s / early ’80s – David Pyle in shorts; Ray Web is Tin Man; Denny McCann is the Lion; Dean Stickland is behind Denny; Darren Tilbury is in the corner; the one in the middle kneeling is Roy Banning; the scarecrow is Nigel Williams; and the witch is thought to be Jim Fletcher. They are all outside what is now Caviste in Winchester Street.
