In 1954 Hampshire County Council took it over as an elementary school for local children. After the new school was built for juniors in 1968, Overton’s seniors were moved to the new Testbourne School at Whitchurch. In the picture the first hut, when the camp was used by evacuees, was occupied by Mr Collins, the Headmaster, and his wife. The second by Mr & Mrs Davies, the Managers.
