This plaque is located on the side of the building facing the church and can just be seen on the previous photograph. I have no information about it but as a pure guess, could the initials be MP and stand for Melville Portal? He was a prominent local figure and his initials are carved on the stone feature opposite Manor Cottages. See later in this album.
