
This picture matches fairly closely with the previous one as a “before and after” sequence. The conical structure is an ornamental well with an excellent piece of wrought iron work at the top. I have added an enlargement of this as I think it is particularly fine. It is accompanied by a straw bird made by the thatcher. Another feature to note is the plaque above the large doorway with the white surround – see next photo for enlargement.
