We have no picture of Elizabeth Pigeon but we can see that at school she was “Diligent and Good”. This is the inside cover of a family bible, presented to Elizabeth as a school prize in about 1873. We are advised by Lewis Combstock that the addition of the “d” in Pigeon was common in the family after about 1790 and also that Elizabeth was born in 1861 in Overton and died in a car accident at Hartford Bridge (Blackbush) on 08.08.1930 aged 69. (Tom Readings was Lewis’ great grandfather).
