Bert Ivey – Overton’s oldest paperboy. He delivered newspapers in Hill Meadow until he was 90 years old. When he was in his late 80’s he started to find the hill a bit of a struggle. So after he had sorted out his papers he would stand outside the old Post Office waiting for any of the Portal’s early shift workers to pick him up and drop him off at the top of the hill. He died at the age of 94.
