The next dozen or so pictures of Katie’s family were not taken in Overton but they have been included because they are excellent examples of studio photography c. 1920s/1930s. Katie was born in Jesmond, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. This photo shows her mother and sister Mary. Katie remembers that her mother was passionate about hats.
