The Roberts family lived next door at no. 3. This photo taken in 1928 shows, Joyce at the back and then clockwise, Malcolm, Barbie and Roy.
John recalls that they had 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and larder (no bathroom). There were places where daylight could be seen through the roof. There was no main water supply.
