The Club’s original pitch was on Overton’s Town Meadow , a field next to Southington House and owned by Colonel Hoare. Over successive years this was shared with the Golf Club, Scouts and Guides, and sometimes, others. Here, Overton’s WI have just taken off on a charity balloon flight which raised £850 for the St Michael’s Hospice appeal. Photo 1991
